Role Overview:

As an AI Engineer at Yobi, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying innovative AI solutions that drive our intelligent communication platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to transform research into production-ready systems that enhance user experience and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Model Development & Research:

• Design, develop, and fine-tune machine learning models and algorithms tailored to our AI agent and UChat systems.
• Stay current with cutting-edge research and integrate new techniques and frameworks into our systems.

Data Pipeline & Feature Engineering:

• Collaborate with data engineers to build and maintain robust data pipelines ensuring the availability of high-quality data for training and validation.
• Develop and implement feature engineering strategies that improve model performance and accuracy.

Deployment & Integration:

• Convert research prototypes into scalable production systems using modern AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
• Integrate AI models into our core platform, working alongside full stack and DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and monitoring.

Optimization & Performance:

• Optimize models for inference speed, scalability, and resource efficiency in real-time production environments.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure reliability and performance across different scenarios.

Collaboration & Innovation:

• Work in an agile environment to iterate on AI solutions, participate in code reviews, and contribute to cross-disciplinary brainstorming sessions.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to building best practices in AI development and deployment.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of model development processes, experiments, and performance metrics.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; PhD preferred for research-heavy roles.
• Proven experience in AI/ML development, with a strong portfolio of projects or published research.
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent.
• Solid programming skills in Python and familiarity with libraries for data science and machine learning.
• Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for deploying AI models.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, statistical modeling, and deep learning architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and the capacity to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions.
• Effective communication skills and experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with ethical AI practices and data privacy regulations is a plus.
